The Mpumalanga Provincial House of Traditional Leaders (MPHTL) is established by an Act and its main objectives are to build the capacity of the Provincial House of Traditional Leaders to perform oversight, co-ordination, and monitoring and evaluation functions, to facilitate and support the implementation of strategic programmes of the House of Traditional Leaders.  The House of Traditional Leaders consists of 21 Members under the Office of the Premier.
